Flu Worries? | Willner Atlanta

Flu Worries?

Our customers are sharing their flu-defense successes:

One customer says: Rest, rest and eat good food if around people with flu.

Another customer has been fending it off with:  Acai extract (much higher antioxidant effects than vitamin C from orange juice) from Genesis Today and N-A-C (N-acetyl cysteine), an amino acid that we convert into the antioxidant , Glutathione, that we heal ourselves with.

To prevent getting the flu follow these simple steps:

  1. Avoid sharing drinking and eating utensils with people who are sick.
  2. Wash your hands before eating’it really does help keep germs away.
  3. Increase your vitamin C intake’which may boost your immune system’by eating ample amounts of fresh fruits and vegetables. Oranges, tomatoes and broccoli are good choices.
  4. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Herbal teas and diluted fruit juices are good options for increasing your water intake.

  5. Get enough sleep. Most people need at least 7 to 8 hours a night for optimal rest.
  6. Manage your stress. Chronic stress can weaken the immune system.
  7. Take a multivitamin every day to make sure you are getting enough vitamins and minerals.
  1. Exercise regularly it’s been shown to reduce the occurrence of colds and flu.

Supplements list: first signs

Oscillococinum, homepathic for flu’s

Soverign Silver , 2 dropers every 2 hrs, 3000mg Vitc

The best thing for you is to add a teen vitamin (they exist!). Teens need added protein and leafy greens because your needs for minerals like calcium and magnesium is greater. You can add Brewers Yeast to your breakfast cereal or sprinkle it on popcorn and get LOTS of vitamins and minerals–your B vitamins are in it and extra amino acids (building blocks of protein) for your brain, mood, muscles, etc.. If you are doing sports, then have a nice whey or egg protein shake before your workouts. Or, on days of no sports, have a protein shake when you get home from school if you want to gain some weight and muscle. There’s lots you can do! If you are in Atlanta, come to our store, or call us!
